Interface for PROCOM Devices: BAI7001
The BAI7001 performs one of two functions:

Amplification, where it is the "slave" device.  The BAI7001 provides a 0-20mA current loop that allows up to 8 PROCOM relays to communicate with the network.  For very large comminications networks, "slave" devices may connect to additional "slaves" instead of relays.

Interface, where it is the "master" device.  The BAI7001 links between one and eight "slave" units to a computer control system via an RS232 port or fibre optic connection.
