Voltage-Restrained Overcurrent ITV7000
Selective protection of generators in the event of overloads and heavy internal or external faults.
These relays incorporate a three-phase undervoltage trip unit and two three-phase overcurrent units; a definite-time high-set and a secondary overcurrent unit with a characteristic dependent on the model:
ITV7166 (definite time),
ITV7266 (inverse IDMT),
ITV7366 (very inverse IDMT),
ITV7466 (exteremely inverse IDMT)
ANSI functions: 50V / 51V / 27
More advanced protective devices generally use Under-Impedance protection (ANSI 21) as an alternative to voltage-restrained overcurrent.
