AVR for large synchronous machines: RG750
The digital controller RG750 regulates stator terminal voltage and machine power factor according to limits set by the user or the control system. It generally operates within machine limits of rotor and stator current and reactive power consumption; however the RG750 may be set to allow field forcing for a short time.
This controller also allows soft starting, adjustable droop control and matching generator voltage with a grid connection prior to coupling.
Communication is possible via an RS232 (0-20mA current loop) Modbus/J-Bus port.
