Differential protection

The DMS7000 range provides differential protection of transformers (DMS7002), engines and alternators (DMS7001).

The DMS7001 and DMS7002 are digital relays, providing protection against the internal defects of alternators, synchronous motors and transformers. They provide the following functions:

	internal correction of amplitude and phase
	double threshold (differential and over-current)
	double-slope restraint curve ensuring better stability for external faults
	2nd order harmonics filtering (DMS7002)
	broad range of operation in frequency (8 to 70 Hz)
	events are automatically time-stamped
