Generator protection

The GMS7000 series provides the protection for synchronous generators and motors.

The GMS 7000 provides all the protection and measuring functions associated with large synchronous machines (except differential protection, which remains separate to ensure redundancy). The GMS7001 is designed to protect generators and the GMS7002 is designed to protect synchronous motors. They function in a broad frequency band (8 to 70 Hz) and include comprehensive trace and event timing functions.
