Motor protectionThe IMM7000 and IMM8000 series provide complete protection for induction motors. Several tens of thousands of these relays are in service throughout the world. The IMM8000 series is a new series of relays, combining the experience of the IMM7000 family and the latest technological innovations. In particular, it makes it possible to correct the thermal threshold by taking into account the stator's RTDs, to time-stamp events and to provide trace functions. The relays can be set using the faceplate, locally using a laptop PC connected to the RS232 port or remotely using an RS485 link. Other features of the IMM8000 series include: * One relay can be connected to either 1A or 5A CTs. * Wide auxiliary supply voltage ranges. * Two setting-groups. * Motor maintenance information (including number of starts and running hours). * Event logging and remote communication. * Self-diagnosis. * Temperature measurement (IMM8002 only). The IMM7000 is a series of conventional relays with digital technology providing all the protection and measuring functions making it possible to protect induction motors effectively.
